*A quotation you like…

“Whatever we accomplish in life, if it’s solely for our own good, then it doesn’t mean that much.  The things you do that affect others in a positive way are the ones that count.” -Alberto Salazar

*Why do you run?

For the mental clarity, and sense of community I have with other runners.

*Why do you pace?

To help others achieve the goals that they have been training for.

*Tell us your best pacing experience.

I was helping coach a man who was trying to run a P.R. in the 5k.  He was always busy with work and we did our best to train as much as possible. I ran with him at a Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.  He ended up P.R.ing by 45 seconds.  I have been running for quite some time, and have never witnessed someone push themselves so hard.

*Why should someone run in your pace group?

I will run very even splits throughout the race, and certainly be encouraging in the later miles, when the race becomes though.

*Any tips for runners about to join your group?

My tip is to relax and just go along for the ride. The training has been done, let the race take care of itself.

*Anything else you’d like to share?

I look forward to meeting everyone in the group, and know that your race will go well.
