Personal goals

I completed the Run Across Georgia  2013 and the full Louisville IM in 2016

Why do you run?

exercise, stress relief and to enjoy great friends while doing it

Describe your best marathon memory.

Wanting a 3:30 to BQ, running in the 3:25 pace group for my first 20 miles, then speeding up to finish in  3:23

Why do you pace?

To see the joy in someone’s face when they meet the goal they have set for themselves

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Bringing a runner in who had trained with me for months.  He had doubted that he could finish in the time that he had set.  To see him cross that line with time to spare was very fulfilling.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Because I am a motivator.  I love to talk to my runners and encourage them along the way

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Start out slow, give it your all at the end, and stay very hydrated along with eating lots of bananas for cramps.

Anything else you’d like to share?

WOOOOHOOO!!  You will understand why later

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Dental mission trips to India and the Ukraine. Local runs for charities like the Run across Georgia for the House of Heroes
