Why do you run?

 

To stay healthy and happy. And reach goals each year

Describe your best marathon memory.

 

The first time Rotterdam Marathon when I was 17,5 years old. (my first marathon) The energy from the supporters and the feeling when I reach the finish-line was indescribably.

Why do you pace?

 

Because I like to help other athletes to reach there goal and motivate them during the race. So they only have to follow,  run and enjoy.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

 

Two years ago in Rotterdam, pacing 4 hours and 20 min. and finish in 4:19:50. And see the happy faces behind me when they reach there goal.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

 

They van count on a steady pace and support during the race, so they van enjoy and only follow without watching the time every km.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

 

Just stay behind me and drink and eat enough during the race.

Anything else you’d like to share?

It would be an honor to pace the Miami Marathon.

 

What philanthropic activities do you have?

As a volunteer I help to pace the training runs for my athletics association Energie in Barendrecht. And make training course for the weekly training programs. As an assistant coach I give training when the head coach is not available.
