Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one – Bruce Lee

Why do you run?

Whether it’s going for a PR or trying a new distance there is always new challenge to look forward to and train for.

Describe your best marathon memory.

My second marathon was the 2009 New York City Marathon.  It’s a massive event and the energy was off the charts.  There was constant excitement from the singing of the National Anthem to the finish line in Central Park.

Why do you pace?

It sounds like a fun way to get in training runs for my goal race.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I’ve run a lot of races and experienced a lot of adversity.  I think my knowledge can help runners achieve their goals.  Plus, I enjoy meeting new people and talking to the runners around me.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Get to the starting line early and plan on getting water at every aid station.
