Why do you pace?

To serve

Tell us your best pacing experience.

My first half marathon on a course, I paced, and helping those in my pacing group accomplish their PRs was very rewarding.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Accurate splits/finish, good energy, mental hurdle navigation. “You do a really good job of pacing with how you were checking on us keeping everyone together and not over the top in your cheering”.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Have fun!

Anything else you’d like to share?

Other than a spartan race I did weekend warrior style with zero training; I have never been a runner. On Sat, Sep 24, 2022, I felt like going for a run and ran 5 miles at a 12’12”/mi pace. Last week (3/20/23-3/26/23), I ran 70 miles and now, my easy runs are done at a ~8’30”/mi pace. I am self-taught, lost 30 pounds and continue to improve just by putting in the work. If I can do it, so can you.
