Personal goals

Started with a goal to hit a BQ time, now I aspire to run all the six world major marathons.

A quotation you like…

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

Why do you run?

It was recreational (still, is) but now, has become a part of my identity.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Had a college reunion with some of my friends to run the NYC marathon. That was also my first in-person race (previous ones were all virtual due to COVID). Also, was my first world majors! Pretty special.

Why do you pace?

Running community is so supportive, and I want to do my bit. Also with this, I want to improve as a runner, experience different races/event, and eventually get some satisfaction by playing a small role in others achieve their goals. As a runner, I understand how special it is to hit that goal time!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

It is a no-pressure, no-judgement group! In a marathon, there are so many factors that influence your time…if you hit a PR or need to scale back. No matter what, I want people to have a good race, learn from it, and hopefully, come back for another one.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I would say, trust the process and the training you’ve had so far for a race. Don’t undersell yourselves but come prepared with a Plan A, B, and C to maximize on your experience as a runner.

Anything else you’d like to share?

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I have had a couple of races that I ran for a few charity groups that do work for Autism. This cause is near and dear to me as my eldest daughter is on the autism spectrum.
