Who do you train with?

OnShore Racing is a local group that I meet with on Sunday mornings. Fun group with all kinds of paces and people who like to have a good time after running.

Personal goals

Qualify for and run the Boston Marathon, Complete a 100 mile race in under 24 hours, Run a mile in under 5 minutes, Run a beer mile in under 7 minutes.

A quotation you like…

Sky above me, earth below me, fire within me.

Why do you run?

Partially to eat and drink as much as I want to without any guilt, part because of a close friend who can’t run and I know how much he’d like to.

Why do you pace?

I’d like to help out other runners looking to test their limits in the same way others have helped motivate me to keep improving.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Because I have a strong reputation of being able to hold a conversation while running to the point of being annoying. If someone is running next to me and wants to talk I’ll be willing and able!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I think I’m a pretty easy guy to run with so.. nope.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I have been a participant in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program here in Charleston for a little while and have done spot volunteering for programs like Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life.
