About all I can squeeze in is Runners World, Triathlete Magazine and Garden and Gun.

Who do you train with?

In the last year or so usually by myself but long runs with a group when I can.

Personal goals

Continue to qualify for Boston in every marathon I race, run a sub 3 hour marathon, win my age group in a 70.3 triathlon, go to 70.3 World Championships and do a full 140.6 distance triathlon.

Why do you run?

 

To stay fit.  I love the thrill of racing and I guess I may be a little addicted……

Describe your best marathon memory.

 

Seeing my aging (and not very mobile) mother around mile 19 of my first marathon in my home town….screaming her lungs out for me.  Had no idea she was going to be out there!    

Why do you pace?

 

I love to run and enjoy meeting and talking with people!  When I am racing I usually run with a pace group and leading a pace group allows me to motivate others and to give back a little to the running community.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

 

It was my second marathon and my first time running with a pace group.  The pace leader was incredibly charismatic and took full responsibility for getting everyone to the finish line in the time assigned to his group. I have ran with a pace group in every marathon I have raced since!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

 

Relax and enjoy the experience and your fellow runners in the group.  The time will go by fast and you will be done before you know it.  The beauty of a pace group is you don’t need to focus on your pace just leave the driving to me and enjoy the ride.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

 

Pick your goal, do your training and come join me for a great race.  I will get you there!
