Personal goals

Being fit and balanced

A quotation you like…

You either ran or you didn’t.

Why do you run?

To balance demands of life. It’s very inexpensive therapy and I’ve met some great running friends.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Crossing the finish line with members of my Galloway group who I’d trained for six months and it was their first marathon!

Why do you pace?

To help others reach goals they thought they couldn’t reach alone.  The expressions at the finish line are priceless.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Singing “Living on a Prayer” at the half way point in the Marine Corps Half.  Every member of the group joined in as if it were our own personal cadence.  Other groups on the course gave us strange looks until they realized we were all singing. Then they cheered us on!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

To reach their personal goal while having fun!  You’ll meet others in the group who share the same goals and will support you until you cross the finish!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Relax, have fun, and trust your training.

Anything else you’d like to share?

If you have any questions, please ask. Someone else likely has the same question.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Local supporter of Marathon High, Commissioner for Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and Vice Chair for Habitat for Humanity – Jacksonville.
