So I can eat!

Describe your best marathon memory.

My best marathon memory is my first marathon – the 1981 Detroit International. We were bussed to Windsor, Canada and ran back to Detroit, Michigan through the river tunnel and then finished on Belle Island. This was a time before medals were awarded, before 9/11 and when cotton shorts and t-shirts were all we had to run in.

Why do you pace?

I’ve had a blast helping folks reach their goals. Pacing is another way to assist others in the adventures of running.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

We will have plenty of laughs and have a lot of time to share stories.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Prepare to enjoy the experience and join me at the finish line!

Anything else you’d like to share?

I ran my first marathon in 1981 and swore that I would never ever run another marathon. BTW, never ever is 18 years. I ran my second marathon in 1999.
