A quotation you like… |
Not running related … “Biggest problem with communication is we don’t listen to understand but we listen to reply” |
Why do you run? |
I started running as a way to sustain my weight loss but once I ran my first race I felt the runners high and since then I have been just addicted to running and racing. |
Describe your best marathon memory. |
Steamtown marathon – Everything was going well, I was running with few runners that were running about my pace with similar goal and everything was going fine and in the last 10K or so I was slowing down quite a bit and my PR at the time was slowly slipping away. Suddenly I heard my kids voices and I turned around and saw them at mile 22 or so which was a total surprise as they were just going to be at the finish only but that gave me the boast to finish strong for my boys. My older one still talks about it as Dad never gives up … That race gave me the boost to keep pushing my PR goal. |
Why do you pace? |
I race a lot and enjoy the encouragement from the volunteers and fellow runners so pacing is one way for me to give back to the greater running community. |
Tell us your best pacing experience. |
Pacing my son for his sub 30 min 5K last year has been the best rewarding experience thus far .. I hope there is lot more such memories in my future! |
Why should someone run in your pace group? |
I share a good mix of fun, excitement, enthusiasm, experience, encouragement, guidance, and I listen and learn from others sharing stories so running with me is like running with your favorite group on a long weekend run , … nice and easy … and in no time race is successfully done! |
Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Nice and Easy is the name of the game and just hang in there with me and we will make this your memorable race for sure! |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
Nope, Lace up and lets go for a run! |
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
Currently I am just starting to plan Run Across Haiti – Coast to Coast for helping locals find dignified jobs and end poverty. I can’t wait to do this run for such a good cause and raise funds thru 2018/19. |
