A quotation you likeā€¦

Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.

Why do you run?

That's a silly question. That's when I get to process life, and I just feel like running.

Describe your best marathon memory.

New York City Marathon: that's when I learned to run with purpose. I guided a blind runner with Achilles International. It is a more significant experience when you run for someone else.

Why do you pace?

I hold the sign and I ask who is running with me and why. BQ or PR? we work as a team to start out and share the miles and cross together. Encourage one another to hold the pace, and stick to our goal. It is a mission I M possible. I look for the bond and trust we build as we venture out and the triumph we share at the finish.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

After pacing a marathon I stood at the finish line highfiving my pace group, when several runners hugged me with tears of gratitude for qualifying for the Boston Marathon. It makes me want to pace all the time.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

It is proven that running with the pack and working as a team is better than running alone. You avoid running too fast, and you have more people to encourage you through the rough patches to stay on pace, keep up with hydration and nutrition. I also look at running form and breathing to make sure we all stay strong.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

You trained hard for this, now let's go get it.
