A quotation you like…

Inhale confidence, exhale doubt.

Why do you run?

I have been running for 16 year and I continue to run because it is one thing that makes me feel truly happy.  It is my sanity, my happy place. There are definitely times when I have to talk myself into going for a run.  But whenever I lace up my shoes and hit the pavement or a trail, something changes within me.  It’s like a really good therapy session.  An outlet.  With all the other things going on in life, running is the one place my heart is happy and my mind is truly free.

Describe your best marathon memory.

During my ultramarathon my best memory is crossing the finish line as the first place female.  I put a lot of hard work into that training cycle; literally blood, sweat and tears.  I followed my training plan diligently and made a lot of sacrifices during that time that other non-runners didn’t understand.

Why do you pace?

I pace because I want to help others reach, or even exceed, their goals.  I know what it’s like to doubt yourself as you are toeing up at the start line.  I have had an abundance of support on my running journey and I want to give back to others within the running community.  Everyone deserves a cheerleader on their journey!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I will get you to your goal and we will have fun getting there.  I love to talk, especially about running.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Bring a positive attitude :)
