 A quotation you like…

My own quote “If you think you can, you will.”

 Why do you run?

I run for my fitness. I started out running as an obese smoker. I have lost a total of 85 pounds. 60 from running. I got hooked after a few races.  I am hoping that the healthy lifestyle that comes along with running will keep me around for many years to come to watch my two children grow up.

Describe your best marathon memory.

My best marathon memory was from my BQ marathon in Philadelphia 2016. I was running it coming off of an injury. I had started with my goal time pacer, but decided to take off. When I hit mile 26, i stopped in my tracks and cried because I knew the 3:35 pacer was long gone behind me. I eventually talked myself into running to the finish line.

Why do you pace?

I am pacing because I would like to help others reach their running goals. I don’t think I would have been able to run my goal time and then some, if i had not have had  friends running most of my training runs with me. I would like to be there for others who need that extra push.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I can’t think of one experience, but I am hoping to enjoy many positive experiences as a pacer.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I will push you to hit your goal and promise  not to  let you down.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

You should relax and most importantly have fun. Remember the reason why you originally started to run.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I am currently running the Pittsburgh full marathon as a charity runner. this will be my third year running this race as a charity runner.
