I met and paced someone from my hometown who was running his first half marathon.  He ran conservatively with me then surged ahead toward the end to beat his brother’s PR.  He waited at the finish to share his delight.

Why should someone run in your pace group?


I will encourage and entertain you.  I enjoy meeting people while I run along.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?


The group will work together, keeping a relaxed and upbeat mood.

Besides pacing, I coach marathon training at Lifetime Fitness in St Louis Park, MN.
