Why do you run?

I really enjoy the social aspect of running which is why I think I am drawn to pacing. I get to spend quality alone time with my girlfriends. I run for coffee! I usually go for a huge espresso right after! I also run for fitness. I am into functional fitness and running keeps me conditioned and always ready for whatever challenge I decide to take on next.

Describe your best marathon memory.

The first half of my first Marathon, my best friend ran with me. Also, my husband and daughter were on the course and at the finish and they had made me a special banner complete with pictures and quotes from my family members that could not attend!

Why do you pace?

To assist other in achieving their goals! I love watching someone achieve what they have truly worked for. Or watch someone achieve something that they thought they could not! It is edifying to the SOUL.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I would say it is all around meeting new people every single time and hearing their story. Their why! And sometimes you form friendships that go beyond the race which is a bonus!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I BRING the party pace. We will have a good time. We will not allow negativity to creep in! We will finish!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Come ready to SMASH your goal! Be ready for nonstop energy and talking with some singing sprinkled in. It isn’t good singing.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I may threaten to beat you with my pacing stick.

I wont actually beat you with the stick J

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Our run club does an annual Christmas for a local family in need. I am a board member of our Families College Foundation send employee’s children to college who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
