Why do you run?
Of the different communities, I prefer runners. And the best way to hang out with runners is to be a runner. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
My first marathon. I remember my immediate thought as I jogged under the finish banner… “Is that it?” |
Why do you pace?
I admire athletes that stick a time on their back and say “Follow me, I’ll get you there”. I want to be one of those people. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
Atlantic City 2014 - you were my best experience! |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I hope that you run in my group because you want the time written on my back. Yes, I can pretend that you enjoy my quick wit and ready repartee. But let’s face it, you really want that goal time. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Enjoy the camaraderie of the group. Contribute when you feel good (and you will feel good) and simply take it in when you feel low (and you will feel low). Let your fellow athletes help smooth the bumpy journey. |

Anything else you’d like to share? |
Smile every so often. Smile at supporters. Smile at the camera. Wave every now and again. Give the impression that you enjoy what you paid for. You may even convince yourself.
