Why do you run?


The relationships you make through running are unlike any other sport you’ll ever do. I’ve made some of my best friends through running and have had some of the most thoughtful, heartfelt conversations while on a long run. Competition is fun, but the running community is what keeps people running throughout their life.

Describe your best marathon memory.


Before the 2013 Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon I met another woman in line for the bathroom and we ended up running the race together, meeting up afterwards and have stayed in touch since! I love the lifelong friendships you make through running!

Why do you pace?


Pacing is an awesome way to help others reach their goals and you know what they say, “People can only live fully by helping others to live!”



Why should someone run in your pace group?


I have an exuberant personality and am not afraid to give you tough love if you need it! I can keep a conversation going for forever, so if you need affirmation and encouragement, I’m your girl! 

Any tips for runners about to join your group?


I REALLY like to cheer, so get ready for enthusiastic “WOOO”s!

I’m a big fan of post-race pizza J


What philanthropic activities do you have?

In addition to my career in philanthropy, I am a member of my local track club’s Board of Directors, and a regular volunteer at Goodwill of Northern Michigan and other local nonprofits.
