Describe your best marathon memory.
|
During one of my 100-milers, Eastern States, after crossing a shoulder deep creek I damaged my headlamp. Not realizing this till later I was forced to use my spare tiny dim light that wasn’t giving any illumination. I ended up navigating through the dark woods in the mountains relying on my gutt, slipping, sliding and falling in ditches during thunder storm till next aide station in 20 miles. I realized that a big part of our success lies deep in our minds and that we can overcome adversities if digging deep within ourselves. |
