A quotation you like…

Celebrate Every Mile.

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.

Why do you run?

To have a goal and be training towards something. I love staying active and being different. It keeps me healthy and I love the feeling of being out on a run and feeling strong.

Describe your best marathon memory.

The Dopey Challenge, Jan 2015. We were down in Florida for our honeymoon. My husband ran the half with me but the full marathon was just perfect. I was relaxed and having fun seeing the Disney characters, running around the castle, and finding my groove. I fueled properly and had one of my top 3 races!

Why do you pace?

I have always found pacing a fun way to get to know other runners and support them. I have never paced yet but the few races I ran with pacers they were very helpful and insightful.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I love running and talking about running. I enjoy getting to know people and very willing to answer any questions. I am open to sharing any experiences or training questions. I am a good motivator and can push us through the race until the end.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I enjoy talking about food and open to learning new recipes. I am very interested in nutrition and what fuels the body best so I read a lot about that. I like traveling and hearing about places to go and see. I have tried many types of training and can give tips for training that has worked for me.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I completed the Boston marathon 2013. I used to work at a running store so I am knowledgeable about types of shoes and fitting. My husband is a PT so I know how to work with some injuries and ways to prevent them.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Volunteering at local church, donate money for charities through work, donate to Humane Society and fundraise for their local races
