Personal goals

A quotation you like…

“If you’re not first, you’re last!” -Ricky Bobby, Talladega Nights.

Why do you run?

Heath, camaraderie, overall well-being and also so I burn enough calories to have a post run beer.

Describe your best marathon memory.

I ran the Detroit International Marathon in 2018 for my first BQ! It was the first time I applied myself to running a marathon and my next step is to beat that time. I learned a lot about putting in the work and changing my mindset as I accomplished goals through the training

Why do you pace?

Helping others achieve their goals is very rewarding, plus I get to run too!

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I paced with a running buddy for his first full, the Glass City Marathon. I may have done a cartwheel around mile 22, for motivation.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Just in case there are cartwheels.  You don’t see that every race.

Also, I really enjoy running (which will be apparent), so my hope is to encourage you in the tougher miles. We’ll get it done together.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Don’t watch my running form, unless you want to learn to heel strike.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I can’t wait to do another relay!  I have only done Ragnar once in the past, due to restrictions last year with Covid-19. Running as a team is such a fun experience!

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Volunteer for Livingston County Department of Public Health; Brighton Nazarene Church member and community outreach volunteer.
