Why do you run?
For the joy of breathing fresh air; that feeling of running fast; the many miles shared with teammates and the excitement of race day |
Describe your best marathon memory.
The day I PR’d. Everything came together nicely. The feeling and ability to keep running hard and your body responding and crossing the finish line still feeling good. I was just a perfect day! |
Why do you pace?
To give back. Running has given me so much, since HS, through college and now as a full-time employee. It’s my way to help other achieve their goals |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
Chicago Marathon – 2019. There was 1 person from Uruguay who stayed with me the whole time. It was his first time breaking 3hrs and his life goal. He was so thankful for the pacing, we share a picture together at the finish line. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
Because they can forget about time and splits and just focus on following the group. One thing less to worry. I share words of encouragement throughout but at the end of day, there’s work to do and I have a job to take the group just under the goal pace time. Let’s do it together. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
That they can leave behind any worries about splits and times. That the end goal will be there and met. Just enjoy the ride |
