Why do you run?
When my legs just keep going and I feel like I can run forever then I hit the wall, bounce off and still keep going. I know anyone can run anything if they train and I am fascinated by what we can teach our bodies to do. I run because I can.

Describe your best marathon memory.
First marathon in Chicago – husband ran last 3 miles with me and paramedic asked him if he needed help at the finish. 1st Boston qualifier, my watch went out and I didn’t know I qualified until I met up with my husband and he showed me the result on his telephone. 1st Boston – there’s nothing like the 1st Boston

Why do you pace?
1st marathon as a pacer having 5 women qualify for Boston including one of my training partners and having them greet me at the finish crying. Pacing that marathon brought a new soul to my running.

Tell us your best pacing experience.
At 25.5 a woman started hyperventilating and began to walk. I coached her back to running then counted her breaths with her until she was breathing normally. She then went on and finished at 3:48 on a 3.50 pace

Why should someone run in your pace group?
I am your biggest fan – that’s one from my mom. I know that each of you are capable of doing this even when you don’t and I will be there every single step to make sure you don’t forget it.
