Why do you run?

It’s a great way to stay in shape and burn calories all while building lifelong friendships.

Describe your best marathon memory.

When I ran the Boston Marathon and turned the corner where all of the Wesley College kids were cheering, I realized that while I may be running alone, I’m never running alone.  It was a great race where I was competing against the clock and myself but I had thousands of fans cheering me on!!

Why do you pace?

I love helping someone complete their goal

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I ran the U of I half with MarathonPacing.com and I was so energized being with the group with so many other people that shared my common goal.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

It will be relaxed, fun when you want it to be and quiet when you need it to be

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I do have a wicked sense of humor so bring some funny material!  We’ll drink plenty of fluids before and during the race and I plan on keeping the group very lighthearted so we can stay relaxed.

Anything else you’d like to share?

There will be times we will need to talk but there will also be times we’ll need to be quiet.  If you let me know what works for you, I will sure to be as attentive as you need and not when you don’t need it!!

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Volunteer coaching, church ministry and school fundraising
