A quotation you like…

“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” -Charles Swindoll

Why do you run?

Because I love beer! Seriously, though, I enjoy the challenge of pushing myself and appreciate the health benefits as well as all the great people I meet through running.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Finishing the Boston Marathon in 2014 and hearing the guy that rode the lead motorcycle say “Meb did it!”

Why do you pace?

It’s a great way to be a part of a race; there’s little to no concern that I’ll struggle to make it through and I have the chance to help others reach their goals.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I unofficially and spontaneously paced someone through the last 6 miles of the Pittsburgh marathon in 2012. Afterwards he said I was exactly what he needed to get him through those toughest miles of the race.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I’m prepared to put their goals before mine and I will focus all me energy on ensuring that I am the beacon and guidance they need to hit their mark.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I’m a friendly guy. If you want to talk, just pipe and ask some questions, tell me a story, or just talk about the weather!
