To challenge myself mentally and physically

Reaching the top of Heartbreak Hill in the Boston Marathon and realizing the worst is behind me

Why do you pace?

I use pacers myself so its good to help others reach their goals

Why should someone run in your pace group?

It is a great opportunity to reach a new PR and to enjoy the experience.  If you have run a 4 hour marathon this is your chance to move down into the 3 hour times.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Relax, the hard work is done and you are now able to let your legs and lungs do the work.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Running is as much a mental challenge as physical, prove you can get through the mental challenges

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I raise money while running.  I have helped fundraise thousands of dollars for Aktiv Against Cancer as well as other charities supporting cancer treatment and suicide prevention.
