A quotation you like…

"Run-Walk-Run like the wind!"

Why do you run?

I remember trying to conquer a hard hill when I was a youth. My little legs running all out and then cresting the hill. Something about running makes me whole.

Describe your best marathon memory.

So many - Each race holds some significance. My first one still has to be my favorite, as I ran without ceasing, in a very low key event on a cold icy day in Boise Idaho. My hands were freezing in sub 30 degree weather. My shoe strings had ice on them.  Still I finished in 3:13. The weather just made me feel alive.

Why do you pace?

I really enjoy helping others - I am jazzed about running!

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Running in the Jeff Galloway 13.1 - 2014 I remember all of the PR's set as we ran together.  Such a wonderful time we had sharing our Running Passion.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Fun and stories - It is the journey and we will make it fun together

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Expect to increase your Running Passion Yes, I am excited to be here for YOU. With over 47 years of competitive running experience, I have quickly become a true believer in the science and the philosophy of the Run-walk-run method that we will be doing.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Yes, as we go for it may we all "Run-Walk-Run like the wind."  Also, as we run, some experiences I can share with you include what it feels like to have completed  the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon, the Florida Ironman and additionally 14 Hood-to-Coast relays.  We will be talking pacing, sliding and gliding, shuffling and mind over matter.  This is the Run-Walk-Run journey.   In doing this, I hope to learn more about you and your goals and how to make you experience the running success you so desire.   So let's do it together.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Supporting Local Youth Programs and USO/Military Organizations.   I am also a HS Coach.
