A quotation you like… |
I am not young enough to know everything.
Why do you run?
Maintain optimal physical and mental health. It is working so far. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Running toward the Disney World castle at pre-dawn when the sky was a shade of blue that matched the castle. |
Why do you pace?
To play a part in someone attaining their goal. I personally know how much faster and longer one can go with someone “by their side”. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
A woman shadowed me the entire marathon without making a peep. At the finish, she emotionally gushed about the 26 people she “ran for” for each mile, with their names written on her forearms. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
To hit their goal, worry-free, without ever feeling alone or having to check a watch. You might learn some useless trivia too. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Run the tangents. I won’t, so you can. No need to add extra distance unless you want to get your money’s worth 😊. I will “bank time” for upcoming hills. There is no benefit to “attack” hills at the goal pace. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
I will pace at a steady rate throughout a race; however, give negative-splitting a try some time. You might be pleasantly surprised. |
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
Supporting the many charities and local businesses that benefit from my entry fees. |
