Describe your best marathon memory.

2008 Boston Marathon:  My first Boston the Pinnacle of Marathon Races.  Every person I talked to said you can’t PR at Boston so my goal was to PR.  I ran a solid race with a negative split and the last 4 miles at a 6:20 pace.  Did I have more in the tank?

Why do you pace?

To contribute to an activity and lifestyle that has rewarded me with so much

Tell us your best pacing experience.

They have all been great and unique experiences but 2009 Pittsburgh Marathon was my most memorable: I have led Pace Groups of 4 hours to 3:10’s and despite the pace which was 3:10 and the course (somewhat hilly) I was able to finish with the largest group of finishers that I have ever paced all qualifying for the Boston Marathon.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I am biased but I am pretty good company to run and share time with

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

If you have prepared well listen to me... smile and have fun and you will reach your finishing goal.
