Why do you run?

 

Started as a wrestler in high school and I can’t seem to stop. Help!

Describe your best marathon memory.

 

My 3rd Mountains2Beach marathon… it was my first time not hitting a wall because of careful fine-tuning in my PACING strategy.

Why do you pace?

 

Seeing new marathoners energizes me and reminds me of my first race.

At the A1A marathon in Ft. Lauderdale I ran with a great group of mostly first time marathoners and had great conversations!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

 

I am steady, encouraging, and full of tips!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

 

Dress light. Be flexible on race day

Anything else you’d like to share?

In high school I did football, wrestling and track (pole vaulting). I went to high school in San Diego, college in Santa Barbara, and am now in medical school in Miami.

 

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I donate yearly student loans to the University of Miami. Hoping to donate to cancer charities in the future.
