Why do you run?

Fitness, Competition, I love the race experience, meeting people, the expo, Travel!

Describe your best marathon memory.

Qualifying for Boston for the first time at the Chicago Marathon after many failed attempts.  Very Emotional Experience.

Why do you pace?

To give back to the running community.  I truly appreciate the volunteers that make the races that I run possible.  Pacing gives me the chance to volunteer and give back, and I also like helping others reach there goals.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Have only had 2, but probably my first at the Chicago Land Marathon in Schaumberg (May ’11), it was a small race and a small group, but having 2 runners cross the finish line in under 3:50 especially with the conditions the last 2 miles, rain and high head wind.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I will be fully committed to helping them get across the line in their goal time, by providing a good consistent pace and encouragement along the way.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Relax, enjoy the run, don’t obsess about the finish, rather enjoy the present moment.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

My girl friend and I direct a race in the Saginaw area (5K run/walk), that is a Dog friendly event, where the money that we raise goes to different charities, the last race, the money went to the Animal Shelter in Saginaw.
