A quotation you like… |
Actually, I can. |
Why do you run?
Running gives me daily and long term goals. I trained for my first half after going through infertility issues, and eventually I realized I could run further than I ever would have imagined. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
I loved reaching Duluth during Grandma’s. I looked at the guy next to me and shouted “We reached Duluth!”, but he wasn’t excited about it. I couldn’t wait to see my husband and boys on the way to the finish. |
Why do you pace?
I like helping people and running, so this is the perfect combination of the two. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
I paced my buddy from mile 50-75 of Hitchcock 100. It was amazing to be part of his race and to spend time with him while he worked to reach his goal. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I tend to have fun at races and try to make them an enjoyable experience. Pace and performing well is important, but I think it’s equally important to find joy in racing. I’m also a good listener and have a lot of race stories to share. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Be proud of yourself. By the time you reach the starting line you’ve already put a lot of training and work into this. Look for ways throughout the race to acknowledge your successes, such as remembering to fuel, reaching mile marks, staying on pace, etc. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
Don’t judge your race at a low point or at the top of a hill when you’re tired!
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
None, but I’m always baking for my running friends.
