A quotation you like…

If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.

Why do you run?

For the endorphin rush, good vibes, health and fitness, it's logistically easy--you can do it anywhere!

Describe your best marathon memory.

Finishing my first half marathon felt amazing, as though I was no longer just "posing" as a runner but was actually a runner!

Why do you pace?

It means more to me to see others' achieve their goals than to achieve my own at this point in my life.  It has to become about more than just personal glory.  I can share whatever I have to offer and that gives me more value than chasing my own PR's.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I have yet to pace.....ask me after April is over!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

To stay motivated, to give that extra little push, to have fun and socialize, to help inspire others, to make new friends, to learn something new.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Remember....this is supposed to be FUN!  Let go of the expectations; just do your 100% best and be completely satisfied that you did regardless of the result.  Most of us are not doing this for a living or to become a pro or elite; this is just a hobby......don't let it feel like a job.....let it feel like play time!

Anything else you’d like to share?

I've been in the fitness industry as a trainer and instructor since 1998 and my passion is all things fitness.  I want to empower people to find true inner peace and happiness through exercise and learning all the things of which their bodies are capable.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I volunteer through church doing various things such as baskets for the less fortunate during the holidays and initiatives that help get clean water to African nations that don't have clean water sources.   I also volunteer with animals, most recently through the Humane Society of Huron Valley and the Michigan Pug Rescue.
