A quotation you like…

Mind over matter!

Why do you run?

Since my childhood I have leaned on running to escape some painful stressors. Now in my adulthood it is what feels like home-it is my peace, serenity, joy, and community.

Describe your best marathon memory.

My favorite marathon memory was my first Boston (2015) when I was racing, and I was in so much pain from mile 8 to the finish. I kept telling myself “mind over matter” and this carried me to the finish to receive my first unicorn. The left onto Boylston street where all the people were cheering will always give me goosebumps when I think of this memory.

Why do you pace?

I absolutely love helping others achieve their goals. It is the most gratifying experience to push others to the finish line and seeing smiles and tears of achievement and joy.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

My best pacing experience was 2019 Pittsburgh Marathon. I co-paced the 4:00 Marathon and several runners came up to me at the end with smiles and tears saying, “I couldn’t have done this without your encouragement and enthusiasm”.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Not only will I help you get to your goal time, but I will guarantee you will have fun doing it too!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Fuel, hydrate and have fun.
