A quotation you like… |
"Maybe someday I’ll wake up with no goals left to accomplish or no desire to pursue them, but until then, I’ll keep risking disappointment for a shot at fulfillment every damn time." ~ Peter Bromka

Why do you run?
It makes me feel alive! It gives me purpose and confidence. It is where I do my best thinking. It brings people together and has brought the best people into my life. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Winning the Pittsburgh marathon in 2018. It was my first marathon and my family came to watch and support me. I knew winning was a lofty goal, but I also believed I could do it. When I moved into first place around mile 21, it was so surreal. All I could think was, “I am actually doing it!” Crossing that finish line, I have never been so proud of myself. |
Why do you pace?
Pacing allows me to make running about more than myself. Helping other people achieve their goals is somehow even more fulfilling than achieving my own. I love the teamwork aspect of pacing. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
I paced my best friend to a half marathon PR in Carmel Indiana. We knew she could do it, but she just needed someone she trusted by her side. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I am fun, chatty and reliable. I will get us where we need to go responsibly and I will try my best to make sure we have fun doing it! |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Don’t two step me. Trust me to do the work. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
Not really!
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
I wish I had some to list here, but really, I just train and coach other runners and play with my dogs. I really should do more for our community, Especially in Detroit.
