Why do you run?
Physical fitness; enjoy the competitive aspect; and I enjoy the social aspect. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Chicago Marathon 2007 (the hot one); this was my slowest marathon by far but the one I feel most pleased with just having finished in 90 degree plus heat. |
Why do you pace?
I’ve run with pacers and the experience was great; I want to return this excellent experience to the running community. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
Watching those who run with me meet or exceed their goals; the thrill never diminishes. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I’ll work hard to stay exactly on pace and, most importantly, I’ll do my best to make you feel comfortable and confident that you will make your goal. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
A little nervousness is great at the beginning but stay with the group. No “moves” should be made until mile 20 or later. Only at this point will you know if you are able to increase beyond the set pace. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
Let’s work together as a group and get everybody to his or her goal.
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
I participate in adult literacy groups and usually run my personal marathons for charities.
