Why do you run? |
To maintain my weight and to make friends at races. |
Describe your best marathon memory. |
2009 Eau Claire Marathon. I was in 9th place overall at mile 20 and a lot of my family was there to witness one of my best days of running ever. I finished 15th overall in 3:21 and had a lot of family and friends at the finish cheering me on. |
Why do you pace? |
I like to talk when I run and help rookie marathoners reach their goals. I like to give back to the sport. |
Tell us your best pacing experience. |
2009 Minneapolis marathon. I had over 50 runners in my pace group at mile 13 and most of them ran a personal best that race. Very nice to hear as a pacer. |
Why should someone run in your pace group? |
I’ll get the crowds cheering for our group and I am very motivating to run with. I am just 26.2 miles of nonstop fun to run along with. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Just run one steady pace the entire race and stay hydrated. Running with a group is easier than running alone. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
I always finish within 30 seconds of goal without a problem. You will enjoy my pacing. I’m very consistent with the splits. |
