Why do you run?
I enjoy the way I feel after a good run. Running gives me time for peace and quiet if a I need it and time to spend with friends if I need that. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Running towards the finish at the 2015 Illinois Marathon knowing I was going to set a big PR |
Why do you pace?
I got into pacing as my kids started getting older and I didn’t have as much time to train as I wanted. Pacing allows me to continue to go to races, however I feel a lot more pressure now knowing other people are counting on me to reach their own goals than when I was chasing my own goals. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
A runner I paced wrote a great thankyou letter to the race director saying how great her pacers was. They posted it all over the races social media page. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I try to not only pace people during the race but coach them and give them advice about the race. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Relax and enjoy the run, you already did the hard part. |
