Why do you run? |
I love the social side of running, for many years I was all about the PB, and stopped enjoying running. Now I love the satisfaction of being surrounded by people who have hit their target, and I love to support people on their journey |
||
Describe your best marathon memory. |
The first time I paced London Marathon in 2014. I did the Run / walk Strategy, and after 5 minutes I started to walk. With hundreds of people stopping to walk at the same time this was very emotional. In 2016 at London Marathon I had someone stop me at the end and tell me he had been trying to get a sub 4 for over 16 years. That moment we did it together… |
||
Why do you pace? |
The smiles on peoples faces when they have enjoyed the marathon, and we have battled through together |

Why should someone run in your pace group? |
Pacing a marathon is not just about getting the right time. Not only do I achieve my target time I make sure it is a consistent pace throughout. But more importantly I am a mentor, a coach, a friend. We share a journey together and I do everything possible to motivate and support people who are with me, to forget about what they are doing and just enjoy the moment… |

Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, I don’t bite. Come and talk to me, any concerns you have, ask me, and we will work it out |

Anything else you’d like to share? |
