|
Why do you run? |
Because I
still can! If I'm running it means that everything is working: no injuries |
|
Describe your best
marathon memory. |
My first
running of the Boston Marathon, coming down Boylston street to the
finish with the crowd cheering. |
|
Why do you pace? |
I
enjoy having a mission; helping my group achieve their goal. I
also enjoy the rapport that develops between the runner in the pace
group. |
|
Tell us your best
pacing experience. |
I felt like I was a player/coach for a winning team. |
|
Why should
someone run in your pace group? |
I've spent 25 years learning how to master the delicate
balance between pushing and pacing myself. As a pace group leader,
the group can leave the pacing to me and as a team we'll push each other to
achieve our goal. |
|
Any tips for
runners about to join your group? |
Pick a
pace that will allow you to have a strong finish; It's more fun than hitting
the wall! |
|
Anything else you'd like to share? |
Besides
running, I do a lot of cross-training to prevent injuries. I commute to work
on my bike, swim and do weights (core training). Being able to run injury
free has definitely been worth the effort! (Knock on wood!!!) |
