Why do you run?
To meet people and get to know them well. To stay fit. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
At the Lake Placid Ironman triathlon in 2015, I caught one of my faster friends on the marathon portion of the race, who had serious stomach issues. It was at the 14-mile mark, and they were thinking of dropping out of the race. I ran with them and was able, through encouragement and coaching to get them to the finish line. That’s when I knew I wanted to be a pacer. |
Why do you pace?
I love to meet people with goals in life. I enjoy encouraging them to reach their goals, and of course, I love to run. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
The first one in Lake Placid, described above. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I will keep you smiling and motivated with a lot of clean funny jokes. Some are corny (Dad jokes). Most are short. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Don’t cheat on your training program. Then you can trust your training to get you to the finish line with a smile on your face. |
