Why do you run? |
I run to stay fit, to enjoy the outdoors, to compete, to meet new people and to see new places. |
Describe your best marathon memory. |
My wife and I decided to do the San Diego Rock n Roll marathon as our first marathon. We did the entire marathon together and had an incredible experience which has kept us coming back for more! |
Why do you pace? |
I love to help people achieve their goals. I love seeing running a marathon become transformed from an individual sport to a team sport. |
Tell us your best pacing experience. |
Last year while I was pacing a half marathon a few people from my group decided to try to pick up the pace for the last two miles. They left me like I was standing still and made up over a minute in the last two miles. They were so excited when I crossed the finish line, it was so rewarding to see. |
Why should someone run in your pace group? |
We have fun! (Plus, I’ll get them to their goal finish time) |
Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Stop by our table at the expo and introduce yourself. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
Pacing is a rewarding experience and there are so many individual stories out there on the course. It’s great to hear those stories and become a part of them. See you at the starting line! |
