Why do you run?

I always quit sports when I was younger, when I started running, I said I never wanted to quit it.

Describe your best marathon memory.

My first was when I was 19 and my father I drove down to Washington DC for the Marine Corps. That was my first real race, small expo, he bought 2 marathon shirts that we both wore (he didn’t run) back said, “Never stop, Never!”

Another was St George Marathon in Utah, and I was on Team Hylands. This was one of the best experiences of meeting the team, pre pasta party, running with people I just met, pushing myself and 4 others, getting a PR and BQ.

Why do you pace?

I love assisting other finishing a run/race, and achieving their goals.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Sometimes it happens at every race. Post run I love when runners come up to you and thank you for helping them. We all give hugs to each other and they want to take post race pictures with you. That always gets emotional.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I’m really informative with local and races. I usually coach people through, scream when there are road hazards, potholes, and turns. I usually talk throughout the race and I’m good at taking people out of their comfort zones.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I will take you through the hardest parts of the race and you’ll finish feeling awesome!

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Charity runs and cycling events.
