Why do you run?
To stay in shape and to explore all the great places of this country. To meet new people and share stories. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Rhode Island, ran my 50th marathon and the family went with me. Always great when the family can go with me. |
Why do you pace?
I love to meet all the runners with a goal they have been working for. I want to do all I can to help them run the smartest race they can. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
2015 Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon. 2 1st time marathoner, a young lady and man finished just ahead of me. They both placed in their age group. They were very appreciative for the pacing, they said they would not have done it without the pacing. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I will run a smart race, and they will not need to worry about the time or anything. All they need to do is run worry free. We will tell stories and encourage everyone. It will be the most stress free race they have ever run. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Set a challenging goal, but not an unrealistic one. Don’t cheat on training. I will keep you motivated. We will laugh and push ourselves. Race day atmosphere is always great, you will do better than you think. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
People run for many reasons, but when we all toe the start line the goal is the same. Finish strong.
